Joining

How do my friends join? In Steam they switch The Isle to the evrima beta, open the Unofficial list in the game and search your server's name. Full guide

Do they need an IP address? No. They search the name. The Play with friends card has no address row for The Isle.

Why can't they find the server? A new or restarted server needs 2 to 5 minutes to show up. Full guide

How do I set a password? On Settings, Game Settings, Server Password, then restart. Full guide

How do I invite friends? Click Copy invite message on the Play with friends card. Full guide

Players and admin

How do I become admin? Add your SteamID64 on the Admins tab of Who can play, then restart. Full guide

How do I kick or ban someone? Open the menu on their row on the Active players card. Full guide

Can a ban be temporary? Yes: 1 hour, 6 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 30 days or permanent. Full guide

How do I unban someone? Who can play, Bans, Lift ban. Full guide

Can I make the server whitelist only? Yes, on the Whitelist tab of Who can play. Full guide

Can I message everyone? Yes, with Announce on the Active players card. Full guide

Gameplay

Can I choose which dinosaurs can be played? Yes, on the Species page. Full guide

Can I make dinosaurs grow faster? Yes, Growth multiplier on Gameplay. It applies live. Full guide

Can I turn off AI creatures or mutations? Yes. AI creatures, mutations

Can I use mods? No. The Isle Evrima does not run mods on community servers. Full guide

Why did my change in Game.ini disappear? The server writes the panel's settings into Game.ini at every start. Change settings in the panel. Full guide

Running the server

Does the server restart by itself? Yes, around 05:00 every day, after warning players in the game. Full guide

How do I update the server? Restart it. It installs the newest Evrima build at every start. Full guide

How do I start a new season? Wipe player progress with the Player data wipe schedule, which keeps your bans. Full guide

Is my server backed up? Yes, if your plan includes backups: every night by the Automatic backup. Full guide

Can I bring my players' progress from another host? Yes, the files in TheIsle/Saved/PlayerData. Full guide

Can I use my own RCON tool or Discord bot? Yes, switch on RCON for your own tools. Full guide

How much memory do I need? It grows with players and AI. Full guide
