How to send an announcement or a message on your The Isle server

Click Announce on the Active players card to send a server announcement everybody sees. To write to one player only, open the menu on their row and choose Send a message…. The server must be running.

Announce to everyone

1. Open your server in the panel. You land on Overview.
2. On the Active players card, click Announce.
3. In the window Announce to everyone, type your text in Message.
4. Click Send.

The panel says Announcement sent. Everybody on the server sees it as a server announcement.

Message one player

1. On the Active players card, open the menu on the player's row and choose Send a message….
2. The window, titled Message followed by the player's name, shows their Steam ID. Type your text and click Send.

Only that player sees it, in the game's chat.

Rules

• Up to 400 characters. The window counts them for you.
• Plain text on one line.

Good to know

• Announce shows when you have permission to use the console and the server answers. While it starts or is stopped, the button is not there.
