A wipe deletes every player's dinosaur, growth and progress, so everyone starts fresh: the season wipe many The Isle communities run. Your settings stay. The safest way is the Player data wipe schedule in Quick Tasks, because it keeps your ban list.
Back up first: How to back up and restore your The Isle server. A wipe cannot be undone without a backup.
Wipe every month with the schedule
The panel has a ready-made Player data wipe schedule for The Isle. It stops the server, deletes the player data except the ban list, and starts the server again, on the 1st of every month early in the morning.
- Open your server in the panel and click Quick Tasks in the left menu.
- Under Schedules, in the Ready-made for The Isle list, find Player data wipe and click Add. It arrives switched off, so nothing runs yet.
- Switch it on when you want the monthly wipe.

To wipe right now, open the schedule's row and click Run now. The Quick Tasks page cannot change the time of a schedule that exists. See How to schedule tasks and automatic backups.
Do not use the Player Wipe task
Under All tasks, Quick Tasks also lists a Player Wipe task. Use the Player data wipe schedule instead:
- Run on Player Wipe stops with the message that the schedule that stops the server around it is missing. Nothing is deleted.
- A schedule built from Player Wipe with Schedule… deletes everything in
TheIsle/Saved/PlayerData, including the ban listPlayerBans.json, and does not stop the server first. After it, every ban is gone.
If bans were lost this way, bring back PlayerBans.json from a backup with Restore some files...: How to back up and restore your The Isle server.
Wipe by hand in Files
- Stop the server.
- Open Files and go to
TheIsle/Saved/PlayerData. - Delete every file and folder in it except
PlayerBans.json. - Start the server.
Good to know
- A wipe does not touch your settings, species, admins, VIPs or whitelist.
- Tell your players before a wipe. Use Announce on the Active players card: How to send an announcement or a message on your The Isle server.
