A The Isle Evrima server uses a good part of its memory before anyone joins, and more as players join and the longer it runs. Watch your server's Usage on the Overview page: if memory stays close to the limit when your community is on, choose a bigger plan.
What uses memory
- Players: every dinosaur in the game. A full server needs far more than an empty one.
- AI creatures and plants: more AI and plants mean more memory. AI density on Gameplay controls how many AI spawn.
- Time: the game builds up memory while it runs. The Daily restart frees it every morning.
See your server's use
- Open your server in the panel. You land on Overview.
- Look at the memory on the usage card. See How to read your server's usage graphs.
Use less memory
- Lower AI density on the Gameplay page, under Creatures and plants (1 is normal). See How to change creature and plant settings on your The Isle server.
- Keep the Daily restart on: How to restart your The Isle server on a schedule.
- Fewer player slots: How to change player slots on your The Isle server.
Choose a bigger plan
Bigger plans have more memory and more player slots. To change, open My plan in the left menu (owner only). See How to change your plan or billing cycle.
