Do I need a Cfx.re licence key?
Yes. FiveM will not start without one. Sign in at portal.cfx.re, create a key for your server and paste it into the Cfx.re License Key field in Settings, then start the server. Until there is a key, the console says what is missing. The key stays tied to your own Cfx.re account.
Is txAdmin included?
txAdmin comes with FXServer, and Settings has an Enable txadmin switch, off by default. With it on, the server boots into txAdmin and txAdmin takes over the server config, so resources are then added in txAdmin instead of on the Modding tab. txAdmin's browser page needs a port of its own, so open a ticket before you switch it on.
How do I install resources?
Upload them into the resources folder in Files or over SFTP. On the Modding tab, list the folder names to start and the panel writes an ensure line for each into server.cfg at every start; the console also names installed resources that nothing starts. Frameworks install the way their own documentation describes, because you have the real file system.
How much RAM does a roleplay server need?
It depends on the resources more than the players, and Cfx.re publishes no RAM figure. A framework build with jobs, an inventory, a phone and a database uses far more memory than freeroam, so start on the plan that fits your player count and watch memory on the Overview as you add scripts.
Do my players need to own GTA V?
Yes. FiveM is a client modification and every player needs a legitimate copy of Grand Theft Auto V. The server does not need one.
