Open Who can play on the Active players card, add every player's SteamID64 on the Whitelist tab, then switch on Only whitelisted players can join. Everyone who is not on the list is refused when they try to join.
Add players to the whitelist
- Open your server in the panel. You land on Overview.
- On the Active players card, click Who can play. The Whitelist tab is open.
- Type a SteamID64 in Add by SteamID64: the 17 digits that start with
7656119. - Click Add.
- Repeat for every player. Players who are online show under Online now, not on the list: click Add next to one to add them.

The tab lists everyone under On the list with the number of players. Remove takes someone off.
Switch the whitelist on
- Add yourself first. The switch cannot be turned on while the list is empty, because then nobody could join.
- Switch on Only whitelisted players can join.
On a running server it applies straight away, and it is kept for the next start.
Switch it off
Switch off Only whitelisted players can join. Your list is kept, so you can switch it on again later.
Good to know
- If the panel says That is not a SteamID64: 17 digits, starting with 7656119., check the number. A Steam profile name or a short Steam ID does not work.
- While the server is starting, the window says changes can be made a few seconds after it has started. While it is stopped, changes are saved for the next start.
- Use the panel list, not
WhitelistIDsinGame.ini: the server writes the panel's list into the file at every start. - See also How to manage players, bans and the whitelist on your The Isle server.
