Questions

What people ask before they choose an AI agent.

What is the difference between OpenClaw and Hermes Agent?
Both are open-source AI agents that answer you in Telegram or Discord with your own AI key, on the same plans at the same price. OpenClaw comes from the OpenClaw Foundation and used about 1.2 to 1.4 GB of memory at rest in our tests; Hermes Agent comes from Nous Research and used about 250 MB. The table above has the rest.
Why do the plans start at 2 GB?
Because of our tests. At 1 GB, OpenClaw took 74 seconds to start and lost two processes for lack of memory, and Hermes Agent's installer and updater were stopped for lack of memory. Both ran at 2 GB.
Do I need my own AI subscription?
You need an API key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, xAI or OpenRouter. Your provider bills your model use directly; the plan covers the server.
Which chat apps can I use?
Telegram and Discord. WhatsApp is not allowed, because automating a WhatsApp account breaks WhatsApp's terms.
Can the agent run commands?
Yes, inside your own server only. Each agent runs on its own server with your plan's memory, CPU and disk, and only the Telegram or Discord user IDs you enter can message it.
Are you affiliated with OpenClaw or Nous Research?
No. We host the open-source releases of both agents; PlayNHost is not affiliated with the OpenClaw Foundation or Nous Research.
How much does an AI Agent server cost at PlayNHost?
AI Agent plans start at US$5.49 (€4.99) a month with 2 GB RAM, up to US$17.99 (€15.49) with 8 GB RAM. That is the regular monthly price, before any first-month discount, and every plan includes DDoS protection, SFTP and 24/7 support.
What do you get with an AI Agent server at PlayNHost?
An AI Agent server at PlayNHost comes with: Telegram and Discord; Your Own AI Key; Only You Can Message It; OpenClaw or Hermes Agent, Same Price. You choose the region when you order (Europe, North America, South America, Asia or Australia), and setup starts as soon as payment clears.
