What is a Rust dedicated server?
A Rust server that runs only for your group. You choose the map, the wipe schedule, the plugins and who plays. Ours comes with DDoS protection, file access over SFTP, and Oxide or Carbon for plugins.
How do I create a Rust server?
Pick a Rust plan and check out. Your server is created right away and appears in the panel, where you set its name, map size and seed, choose Oxide or Carbon, and start it. A new 3000 map takes about five minutes to generate on first start.
Can I manage bans and admins from the panel?
Yes. The Players card lists who is online with their ping and time played. Bans shows the banned SteamIDs and lifts a ban with one click, and Admins makes someone an owner or a moderator. While the server runs the panel talks to Rust over RCON; with it stopped, admins are written to users.cfg.
Do you support Oxide, Carbon and plugins?
Yes. Choose Oxide (uMod) or Carbon, and install plugins from the uMod catalogue in the panel. The panel puts each plugin in the right folder for your framework, shows the version you have and offers an update when uMod has a newer one. Switching between Oxide and Carbon is handled for you at the next start.
How do wipes work?
The Wipe page wipes the map, the map and blueprints, or everything, with a new seed, and can back the world up first. Ready-made schedules follow Facepunch's forced wipe on the first Thursday: they warn players in game 10, 5 and 1 minutes ahead, take a backup, wipe an hour after the update and start on the new build. If the backup fails, nothing is wiped.
Can I use a custom map or play on the staging branch?
Yes. Paste a direct link to a .map file under Map URL, query strings included, and Rust downloads it at the next start. Under Branch you can switch between Release and Staging; Staging players join with the Rust Staging Branch app.
Can I get my money back if I do not like the server?
