Copy your own Discord user ID: turn on Developer Mode in Discord's advanced settings, then right-click your name and choose Copy User ID.
Choose the type
On a new bot server click Edit Server Type on Overview and choose JMusicBot. Changing the type reinstalls the server and by default deletes its files, so do it before anything else. See How to change your server type.
Settings
Open Settings, Game Settings:
Discord Bot Token and Bot Owner ID are required.
Bot Prefix is the command prefix. The default is to mention the bot (@YourBot play ...). Set one such as ! if you prefer.
Bot Default Game and Bot Default Status change what people see under the bot's name.
Bot Show Song in Status shows the track name as the bot's activity.
Bot Stay In Channel keeps it in the voice channel after the queue ends. Bot Alone Time Until Disconnect sets how many seconds it waits before leaving an empty channel; 0 means never.
Bot Max Song Length limits a track's length in seconds; 0 means no limit.
Start and play
Open Console and start the server. The first start downloads the bot. When it is logged in, join a voice channel and type !play followed by a song name or link (with your prefix). Other commands include skip, queue, nowplaying and volume.
If music does not play
Music sources change often and can block bots without warning. Check the console for the error, and see the project's own page for the current status. See Discord music bot not playing: fixes.
