Upload your maps on the Maps page, copy your own settings and votes into myServerconfig.cfg, and set the name, password and passwords on Game Settings. To keep your records, upload your old records file with the server stopped.
1. Collect your files
From your old server or your PC, keep:
| What | Where it usually is on a DDNet server |
|---|---|
| Your maps | data/maps, files ending in .map |
| Your settings and votes | autoexec_server.cfg, myServerconfig.cfg, reset.cfg |
| Records (finish times and ranks) | ddnet-server.sqlite, in the DDNet user folder |
2. Upload your maps
- Open your server in the panel and click Maps in the left menu.
- Click Upload a map and choose a
.mapfile. Repeat for each map.

For many maps at once, upload them to data/maps under Files or with SFTP. See How to connect to your server files with SFTP. Then choose the start map: How to choose the start map of your DDNet server.
3. Set the main settings in the panel
On the Settings tab, under Game Settings, set Server name, Server password, the RCON Password and the staff passwords. The panel writes these at every start, so lines for them in your old files would be overwritten or would fight the panel. See How to set up your DDNet server: key settings.
4. Bring your own settings and votes
- Click the Files tab and open
myServerconfig.cfgin the main folder. - Paste the lines you changed in your old config: your votes (
add_vote), welcome text, vote rules and the like. Leave outsv_name,password,sv_map,sv_register,sv_max_clients,sv_port, the RCON passwords andsv_test_cmds. - If you had a
reset.cfg, create one next tomyServerconfig.cfgwith the same lines. - Save, and restart the server. Check the Console for lines DDNet could not use.
See How to add your own settings to your DDNet server.
5. Bring your records
- Stop the server.
- Under Files, open
.local/share/ddnet. - Delete the
ddnet-server.sqlite-walandddnet-server.sqlite-shmfiles there, if there are any. They belong to the records file the server made, and would spoil yours. - Upload your
ddnet-server.sqlitethere, in place of the one the server made. If your old folder also hasddnet-server.sqlite-walandddnet-server.sqlite-shmfiles, upload them too, or start the old server once more and stop it cleanly first, so everything is in the main file. - Start the server.
