Click Start on your server's Overview page. A DDNet server is small and starts in a few seconds: when the badge says Online and the Console shows successfully registered, players can find it in the DDNet server browser.
Start it
- Open your server in the panel.
- Click Start.
- Open the Console tab, or watch the small console on Overview.

What the Console shows
- With Game Version on
latest(the default), the server checks ddnet.org for a new DDNet release and installs it first. server: server name is '...'andserver: version ...: the server has loaded with your name and its DDNet version.server: Found ... maps for maplist: the maps on the server, which players can vote for.register/6/ipv4: successfully registeredandregister/7/ipv4: successfully registered: the server is listed in the DDNet server browser.[PlayNHost] Made 0.7 copies of ... map(s): the server prepared your maps for players on the older Teeworlds 0.7 client.
What a new server already has
- Server name:
My DDNet server. Change it before you invite people. - Server password: empty, so anyone can join.
- Server map:
Tutorial, plus the maps that come with DDNet. - RCON Password: a password of its own, made when the server was set up. You need it to be admin in the game.
- Cheats (test commands): off, so the server is a normal DDNet server.
- Public server list:
ipv4, so the server shows in the browser.
