Players find your DDNet server by its name on the Internet tab of the DDNet client, or connect to its address from the client's console. Both are on the Play with friends card on your server's Overview page.

Get the DDNet client
DDNet is free. Players download it from ddnet.org, or install DDNet from Steam: it is the same game, and both join your server the same way. No Steam account is needed for the server.
Join from the server browser
- Start the DDNet client.
- Click Play, open the Internet tab and search for your server's name.
- Join it. If the server has a password, the client asks for it.
A new server shows up in the browser a minute or so after it starts.
Join by address
- In the DDNet client, press F1 to open the console.
- Type
connectfollowed by the address from the Address row of the Play with friends card, for exampleconnect 203.0.113.10:25590, and press Enter.
This works even when the server is not listed in the browser.
The password
The Password row of the card shows the join password, or None set. To change it, see How to change your DDNet server name and password.
Teeworlds 0.7 players
Players on the older Teeworlds 0.7 client can join too, by address: F1, then connect and the address. See How to let Teeworlds 0.7 players join your DDNet server.
If a player cannot join
- The server must be running: the badge on Overview says Online.
- A new or just restarted server needs a minute to show in the browser. Joining by address works at once.
- If Public server list is
0, the server is not in the browser: join by address. - The password must match exactly.
- A full server turns players away. The Active players card shows how many are on.
All the checks, in order: Players cannot join your DDNet server.
