How to change Valheim Plus settings

On the Valheim Plus Mod server type, open the Modding tab and click Settings (Valheim Plus and mods). The Valheim Plus file is picked for you. Change the values, click Save changes and restart the server. Valheim Plus reads its settings when the server starts.

Change the settings

1. Open your server in the panel. Make a backup first: How to back up and restore your Valheim world.
2. Click the Modding tab, then Settings (Valheim Plus and mods).
3. Settings file already shows org.bepinex.plugins.valheim_plus.cfg. If the tab says No settings files yet, start the server once so Valheim Plus writes it, then come back.
4. Use Find a setting or the sections to find what you want. Each setting shows its description, Default: and its limits.
5. Change the values and click Save changes.
6. Restart the server.

Check it loaded

The Console prints lines such as Configuration loaded successfully from '.../org.bepinex.plugins.valheim_plus.cfg' and ValheimPlus [ with the version ] is loaded. See How to check that your Valheim mods loaded.

Which Valheim Plus version

The Valheim Plus Mod server type installs a fixed Valheim Plus release, chosen for the current Valheim. The Console line shows which version you have. A new Valheim version can arrive before Valheim Plus supports it: the update notice in Settings warns that your server loads mods. See How to update your Valheim server and hold a version.

Players

Valheim Plus is a mod, so players generally need it installed on their PC too, at a compatible version. Check Valheim Plus's own page for what it syncs from the server and what it does not.

If something is wrong

• A setting that Valheim Plus cannot read can stop it loading. Put the value back with Reset to default, save, and restart.
• The Console says Valheim Plus is missing: Valheim mods do nothing or the mod loader is missing.
