The Console tab shows your server's log, and its command box sends The Isle's RCON commands to the game. Type help to list them. You do not need an RCON tool or password for this: the panel's own tool talks to the game for you.
Type a command
- Open your server in the panel and click the Console tab.
- Click the box at the bottom. It says Type an RCON command (help lists them).
- Type a command and press Enter.

The game's answer shows in the Console with [rcon] in front. A word the game does not know gets is not an RCON command of The Isle. Type help for the list.
Useful commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
help | Lists every command, with examples. |
announce <text> | Sends a server announcement to everyone. |
save | Saves the game. The answer is Game saved. |
playerlist | Lists the players on the server. |
serverdetails | Shows the server's main settings. The password is shown as <hidden>. |
wipecorpses | Removes the bodies lying on the map. |
getplayables | Lists the playable species. |
kick <SteamID64>,<reason> | Kicks a player. |
ban <Name>,<SteamID64>,<reason>,<hours> | Bans a player for a number of hours. |
The game gives no answer to some commands, such as kick and ban; the Console then says the command was sent. A ban needs all four parts, and 0 hours ends the ban at once: for a permanent ban, use Ban on the Active players card.
Use the panel for settings
Some commands switch a setting on or off in the running game, for example togglewhitelist, toggleai or toggleglobalchat. Two things to know:
- They flip the setting whatever you type after them.
- The server writes your panel settings back at every start, so a change typed here is lost at the next restart.
For anything you want to keep, use the panel: Who can play for the whitelist, Gameplay for AI, chat and growth, Species for species. Kick, ban and announcements are also on the Active players card: How to manage players, bans and the whitelist on your The Isle server.
