The Usage section at the bottom of your server's Overview page shows how much of your plan the server is using. It is the quickest way to tell whether lag comes from your plan or from something else.
Open the graphs
- Open your server in the panel. You land on the Overview page.
- Scroll to Usage.
- Choose CPU, RAM or Storage. The graph shows the last 30 minutes live, and the drop-down beside it changes the time range.
What each number means
- CPU is how much processing the server is using. If your plan has no CPU limit, the panel says no CPU limit set. A server that stays busy even with few players is working too hard.
- RAM (Memory) is shown against your plan, for example
0 Bytes / 2 GB. Games usually grow into the memory they are given as worlds load and players join. If memory reaches the limit, the game can slow down, crash or be stopped. - Storage is the space your server's files use. It rises as worlds, logs, mods and stored setups grow. Backups are counted separately, on the Backups page.
What to do about what you see
| You see | Likely cause | Try |
|---|---|---|
| RAM at the plan limit | Too many mods, a large world, or too many players for the plan | Remove mods, lower view distance, or upgrade the plan |
| CPU high with few players | A heavy mod or plugin, or entities piling up | Remove the newest add-on, restart, then watch again |
| CPU spikes at the same time each day | A scheduled task or an automatic backup | Move the schedule to a quiet hour |
| Storage growing fast | Logs, crash dumps or many world copies | Delete what you do not need in Files |
Check usage while players are on the server. An idle server always looks healthy.
Pick the right plan
Games differ widely. A small world with a few friends needs far less than a modpack with a full player list. If RAM keeps reaching its limit while players are online, move up a plan. See How to change your plan or billing cycle.
Good to know
- The graphs show what the server uses now and recently, not a record of every past day.
- Your plan page shows the same limits next to the usage. See How to change your plan or billing cycle.
