You cannot log in as admin on your Project Zomboid server

Join with the Admin Username and Admin Password from Settings, then Game Settings, typed exactly. If that is refused, the account may have been made with different values, or you are on a different world than you think. The setpassword command in the panel Console always works to set a new password.

Checks

1. Read the values. Open Settings, then Game Settings. Copy Admin Username and Admin Password. Capitals count.
2. Did you change them after the first start? The admin account is made from these values when the server first creates it. The panel's own help says a later change does not change the account. Try the password the server was first started with, and the new one: How to change your Project Zomboid admin password or username.
3. Which world is loaded? Each Server Name has its own accounts. A new name means a new admin account. Check the name: How to check which world your Project Zomboid server loaded.
4. Did you upload a database? An uploaded <name>.db brings the accounts of the old server, including its admin. Use the admin login from the old server: How to upload your own Project Zomboid world.
5. Is the server closed to new accounts? That does not stop an existing admin, but a new player cannot make an account: How to run a whitelist-only Project Zomboid server.

Set a new password

The server must be running. Open the Console and type, with no slash:

`` setpassword "admin" "NewPassword" ``

Use your own admin username in place of admin, and a password without double quotes or backslashes. Then log in with it.

Make another admin

If you can reach the panel but not the game, give yourself an access level from the Console: setaccesslevel "yourname" "admin". The player must have an account on the server: How to set access levels on your Project Zomboid server.

Still locked out

Open a ticket with the server name. Do not send passwords.
