- Open Settings, then Game Settings and set Admin Password to a password of your own. The server starts with a placeholder password that is publicly known, so change it. Use only letters, numbers, dash and underscore, up to 30 characters.
- Restart the server so the new password is applied.
- Join the server, open the in-game chat and type /AdminPassword followed by your password to gain administrator commands for that session.
- Never leave the password empty: the panel Console and the Stop button rely on it, so an empty value breaks both.
Useful admin commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/AdminPassword <password> | Gives you administrator privileges after you enter the admin password in game chat. |
/Info | Shows server information. |
/ShowPlayers | Lists connected players. |
/Save | Saves the world data. |
/Broadcast <MessageText> | Sends a message to everyone on the server. |
/KickPlayer <SteamID> | Removes a player from the server. |
/BanPlayer <SteamID> | Bans a player; /UnBanPlayer <SteamID> lifts the ban. |
/TeleportToPlayer <SteamID> | Moves you to that player; /TeleportToMe <SteamID> brings them to you. |
/Shutdown [Seconds] [MessageText] | Stops the server after an optional delay with an optional message. |
/DoExit | Forces the server to exit immediately and does not save. Use /Save first. |
Type the commands in the in-game chat; Palworld has no in-game console. The panel Console tab also sends commands to the server, but only Info and Shutdown are confirmed to work there, so use game chat for the rest. See How to use the console and run commands.
Good to know
- Only give admin rights to people you trust.
