Crossplay on a Palworld server is the Crossplay Platforms field under Settings, Game Settings. It starts as Steam,Xbox,PS5,Mac, so all four can join. To allow fewer platforms, keep only the ones you want, separated by commas, for example Steam for Steam players only, and restart the server.
Change Crossplay Platforms
- Open your server in the panel and click the Settings tab.
- Click Game Settings.
- In Crossplay Platforms, type the platforms you want, for example
Steam,Xbox. - Restart the server, for example with Restart now in the message
Saved. The server must restart before these take effect.
The format the panel accepts
- Only these four words:
Steam,Xbox,PS5,Mac, written exactly like that. - Separated by commas, with no spaces:
Steam,PS5works,Steam, PS5does not. - Anything else is refused with the message that it "must be a comma-separated list using only Steam, Xbox, PS5 and Mac", and the old value stays.

The Microsoft Store PC version counts with Xbox in Pocketpair's guide ("Xbox series and the Windows PC version downloaded from the Microsoft Store").
Does crossplay need anything else?
- The panel writes this value into Palworld's settings at every start. Changing it in
PalWorldSettings.iniby hand does not stick. - Pocketpair's guide says Xbox and PS5 players can only join a community server. Your PlayNHost server always starts as one: Which platforms can join your Palworld server.
