How to become admin on your DDNet server

Join your server, press F2 in the DDNet client and log in with the RCON Password from the Settings tab, Game Settings. You are then admin and can use DDNet's admin commands in that remote console.

Log in

1. Open your server in the panel, click the Settings tab, then Game Settings, and copy the RCON Password. Every server gets its own when it is set up.
2. Join your server: How to join your DDNet server.
3. Press F2 to open the remote console.
4. Type the password and press Enter.

Change the password

Type a new RCON Password on Game Settings (up to 32 characters, no double quotes or backslashes) and restart the server. If you leave it empty, DDNet makes a new random one at every start and prints it in the Console, so set your own to keep it steady.

Good to know

• With the public-server preset on, 5 wrong RCON passwords get that player banned for 30 minutes. An admin can lift it with unban. If a login is refused: The RCON password does not work on your DDNet server.
