DDNet has one game type, DDraceNetwork, and its rules come from DDNet's settings. Rules that DDNet resets at every map go in a file named reset.cfg; the others go in myServerconfig.cfg. Both are in the main folder under Files. Restart the server after a change.
Rules that go in reset.cfg
Each time a map loads, DDNet puts these back to their defaults, then runs reset.cfg. Put them there so they apply on every map.
| Line | What it does | DDNet's default |
|---|---|---|
sv_hit 0 | Players cannot hit each other with the hammer, grenade or laser. | 1 |
sv_endless_drag 1 | Endless hook for everyone. | 0 |
sv_show_others_default 1 | Players see other teams by default. 2 shows their own team only. | 0 |

To create the file: open the Files tab, and in the main folder, next to myServerconfig.cfg, create reset.cfg. One setting per line.

Good to know
- Many of these are locked while a map runs, so the Console cannot change them. Change the file and restart.
- A map can carry its own settings, and those win on that map.
- Practice tools such as
superandtelefor admins come with Cheats (test commands): How to turn cheats on or off on your DDNet server. - Every setting is on ddnet.org, on its Settings and Commands page.
