How to put your BeamMP server in the server list

Fill in the Go live card on your server's Overview page and click its button. It saves your key, name, description, tags, map and visibility, then starts or restarts the server. BeamMP lists a new server within 1 to 3 minutes, and the card tells you when it is in.

Where the card is

The Go live card sits near the top of Overview on a new server. It stays until the server has been in BeamMP's list once, or until you click Hide. Every step can also be changed later in Settings, so you lose nothing if you hide it.

Step 1: Your BeamMP key

Paste your free key from keymaster.beammp.com. Under the box the panel says This looks like a BeamMP key. once the shape is right. When a key is already saved, the step says Your key is saved. and offers Use another key. How to get one: How to get a BeamMP auth key for your server.

Step 2: Name and description

1. Type the Server name. This is the name players search for in the launcher.
2. Type a short Description. Both can be up to 128 characters. The counter under Description shows how many you have used.
3. To add colours or bold text, click in the box where the colour should start, then click a code in Colors and styles. See How to add colors to your BeamMP server name.

Step 3: Tags

Pick the tags that fit, from BeamMP's own list: style of play, racing, off-road, conditions, game modes, mods, rules and language. Players filter the list by tag. At least one tag is needed. Use Search tags to find one. See How to choose tags for your BeamMP server.

Step 4: Map

Choose the map. Maps from your own mods are listed first, under From your mods, then the Stock maps that come with the game. Use Search maps to find one. To add a map mod first, see How to use a custom map on your BeamMP server.

Step 5: Who can find it

• Public: Listed in BeamMP's server list. Anyone can find it and join.
• Private: Not in the list. Friends join with the address, in Direct connect.

Check the preview and go live

Under the steps, What players will see shows your name and description as the launcher will show them, with your player slots, whether the server is In the list, and the Direct connect address.

Then click the button. Its label depends on the server:

• Save and start: the server is stopped and you changed something.
• Start: the server is stopped and nothing changed.
• Save and restart: the server is running. Players on it are disconnected while it restarts.
• Save: your role may change settings but not start the server. Someone who may start it has to do that.

If a step is missing something, the button stays grey and the line under it says what, for example Add your key in step 1.

After you click

1. The card shows Checking BeamMP's list and says BeamMP lists a new server within 1 to 3 minutes. This card checks every 30 seconds.
2. When BeamMP lists the server, the card says You are live: Your server is in BeamMP's list. Players find it by name in the launcher.
3. Click Done. The card leaves the page. The BeamMP server list card stays and keeps watching the listing.

A private server is never listed, so the card never says You are live. Click Hide when you are done with it.

Good to know

• The card writes only what you changed, and the key first.
• The card shows only to people whose role may change settings (Change startup). A friend without it does not see it: How to let a friend help run your BeamMP server.
• Changes to the name, tags, map or slots reach the list only after a restart. The BeamMP server list card says so with Saved, not live yet.
