- In Settings, then Game Settings, set the Admin Password to your own (letters, numbers, dashes and underscores only, up to 64 characters) and restart the server.
- Join the server in game and open the console (press the tilde key on PC).
- Type enablecheats followed by a space and your Admin Password, then press Enter.
- Run admin commands with the cheat prefix, for example cheat saveworld.
- To run a command from the panel instead, open the Console tab and type it without the prefix, for example saveworld.
Useful admin commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
enablecheats <password> | Unlocks admin commands for you on the server; the password must be the server's Admin Password. |
cheat saveworld | Forces the server to save the world to disk. |
cheat broadcast <message> | Sends a message to all connected players. |
cheat listplayers | Lists connected players and their IDs. |
cheat kickplayer <SteamID> | Disconnects a player from the server. |
cheat banplayer <SteamID> | Adds a player to the server's ban list. |
In the in-game console (press the tilde key on PC), commands need the prefix cheat after you have run enablecheats with the Admin Password. In the panel Console tab, type the command without the cheat prefix and without enablecheats (for example saveworld). See How to use the console and run commands.
