- Join the server once with your own account so the server knows your player name.
- Ask support to make you an administrator and give them your exact player name. Support does this for you, because chat commands need admin rights that you do not have yet.
- Once you are an administrator, type commands in the in-game chat.
- To give other players rights, use /player name role rolename, for example the role suplayer for a normal survival player or suvisitor for a restricted visitor.
Useful admin commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/op playername | Makes a player an administrator (same as setting their role to admin). Only an existing administrator can use it in chat. |
/player playername role rolename | Sets a player's role, which decides what they may do. |
/player playername whitelist on | Adds a player to the whitelist. |
/kick playername reason | Removes a player from the server. |
/ban playername reason | Bans a player. |
/list clients | Shows who is connected. |
/announce message | Sends a message to everyone on the server. |
/autosavenow | Saves the world immediately. |
/genbackup filename | Makes a full copy of the current world in the data/Backups folder. |
/serverconfig | Shows or changes server settings, for example the join password. |
Commands start with a slash and are typed in the in-game chat by players who are already administrators. The first administrator cannot be created from chat, so support sets it for you. See How to use the console and run commands.
