Valheim admin commands that work

Valheim's admin commands are typed in the game's console, opened with F5, not in the panel. Iron Gate's server guide documents four: Kick, Ban, Unban and Banned. You need to be an admin first. Most of this you can also do from the panel, on the Active players card, without being in the game.

Before you start

• You must be an admin. See How to become admin on your Valheim server.
• You must be playing on the server.

Open the in-game console

1. Join your server in the game: How to join your Valheim server.
2. Press F5 to open the console. This is what Iron Gate's server guide says.
3. Type a command and press Enter.

The commands

Replace PLAYERNAME with the player's name. We only list commands that come from Iron Gate, so we do not describe cheat commands.

The same jobs in the panel

The panel's buttons work without you being in the game, and Access works while the server is stopped.

Press F2 for IDs

The panel Console does not take commands

The Valheim server does not read what is typed into its console. If you type a command in the Console tab, the server does not answer, and the Send Command task has the same limit.
