How to send an announcement on your Valheim server

Click Announce on the Active players card, type your message and click Send. Everybody on the server sees it in the middle of their screen for a few seconds. It needs PlayNHost Tools and a running server.

Send a message

1. Open your server in the panel. On Overview, find the Active players card.
2. Click Announce. The window Announce to everyone opens.
3. Type your message in Message. The counter shows how many of the 200 characters you used.
4. Click Send.

A message says Announcement sent and Players see: followed by your text as the game shows it.

What you can write

• Plain text on one line, under 200 characters.
• Formatting tags and the $ sign are removed, because the game would read them as formatting. The confirmation shows what is left.
• If the message is too long, the window says That is too long. Keep it under 200 characters. A second line or odd characters give Use plain text on one line.

No Announce button

• Announce appears only while PlayNHost Tools answer, so only on a running server with the tools on: How to turn on PlayNHost Tools on your Valheim server.
• You need the Use the console permission.

Restart warnings are sent for you

You do not need to announce every restart by hand. With PlayNHost Tools on and players online, the Daily restart and your other restart schedules tell players in game 5 minutes and 1 minute before when they run on time.
