How to lift a ban on your Valheim server

Click Access on the Active players card, open the Banned tab, and click Lift ban on the player's row. The game picks it up within about 15 seconds, with no restart. It works while the server is stopped too.

Lift the ban

1. Open your server in the panel. On Overview, find the Active players card.
2. Click Access. The window Access opens.
3. Click the Banned tab. The number in brackets is how many entries the list has.
4. Find the player under On the list. With more than eight entries, a Search the list box helps. Steam players have a Steam profile link so you can check who it is.
5. Click Lift ban.

The window says The ban is lifted. The game picks it up within about 15 seconds. The player can join again with the password.

Good to know

• An entry marked Character name is a ban by name rather than by ID. It is lifted the same way.
• A Steam ID can be written in more than one way in the file. Lift ban removes every way it is written, so one click is enough.
• If the list says The list could not be read, so nothing is shown and it has been left as it is. Try again in a moment., wait a moment and open Access again.
• You need the permissions Use the console, Read contents and Create and upload to see Access.
