Not on the standard V Rising server type. V Rising has no official mod support, and community mods run on the BepInEx mod loader. The Modding tab of a standard PlayNHost V Rising server says this server type does not carry BepInEx, so mods will not load. If you want a modded V Rising server, open a ticket first and support will tell you what is possible.
Check what your server runs
- Open your server in the panel and click the Modding tab.
- Read the BepInEx card. On the standard server type it says: "The mod loader for V Rising. This server type does not carry it, so mods will not load here."
- Under The other server types, the card names the V Rising BepInEx server type: "the same game with the mod loader on it".

Does Stunlock support mods?
No. In Dev Update #32 (March 2026) Stunlock wrote that it looked into official modding support and concluded the game is not structured in a way that allows mod tools at the standard it wants. In its security update of October 2025 it asked players to be very cautious about any mods they download until they verify they are secure.
What about the V Rising BepInEx server type?
The panel lists it under Edit Server Type on the Overview page. Before you use it, know two things:
- Changing the type reinstalls the server. By default it deletes the server's files, including your world. Back up and download your world first: How to back up and restore your V Rising world.
- Its settings page is different from the standard type's: other options, other presets and other defaults.

Do players need mods to join?
