Game server ports
The default ports of 21 dedicated servers, each taken from the developer's own docs, the official wiki or the config file the server ships with, with the protocol and who needs the port open. Where the developer publishes no default, the row says so instead of guessing. Checked on Nov 3, 2026.
On a PlayNHost server
Every port your game needs is created with the server and accepts both TCP and UDP, so there is nothing to forward. The numbers are assigned by the machine and are usually not the defaults below: open Ports & Network in the panel, and give players the address shown under Give this to your players.

Minecraft: Java Edition
| Port for | Default | Protocol | Who needs it | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Game | 25565 | TCP | Players | server-port. Java Edition uses TCP. |
| Server list query | 25565 | UDP | Only if you use it | Off by default (enable-query=false). Uses the game port unless query.port is set. |
| RCON | 25575 | TCP | Admin tools only | Off by default. The wiki warns against opening RCON to the internet. |

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition
| Port for | Default | Protocol | Who needs it | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Game | 19132 | UDP | Players | server-port. Bedrock uses UDP, unlike Java Edition. |
| Game (IPv6) | 19133 | UDP | Players | server-portv6, for players on IPv6. |

Rust
| Port for | Default | Protocol | Who needs it | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Game | 28015 | UDP | Players | server.port. Facepunch: this is the only port you need to connect and play. |
| Server list query | Higher of game and RCON port + 1 | UDP | Server browser | server.queryport. If not set: 1 + the higher of server.port and rcon.port, so 28016 with both at default and 28017 when RCON is on 28016. It must differ from the game port. |
| RCON | Same as the game port | TCP | Admin tools only | rcon.port. Facepunch: the default is equal to server.port, and RCON uses TCP. Its own example uses 28016. |
| Rust+ app | 28082 | TCP | Only if you use it | app.port: the higher of the game and RCON port + 67, so 28082 if nothing was changed. It must be 10000 or higher and reachable from the internet. |

ARK: Survival Ascended
| Port for | Default | Protocol | Who needs it | Notes |

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Game | 7777 | UDP | Players | -Port=. Game traffic and the lightweight query API. |

Which servers answer a server browser query
We send each server the query a game client or server list sends, over the address players use, to check that players can reach it. These games answered on our own servers:
- Minecraft: Java Edition: status ping on the game port
- Minecraft: Bedrock Edition: list ping on the game port
- Rust: Steam query on the query port
- Enshrouded: Steam query on its one port
- Valheim: Steam query on port + 1, only with crossplay off
- Project Zomboid: Steam query on the game port, only when Steam started with the server
These did not answer that query reliably, so a checker that relies on it gets no reply from them even when players can join:
- Palworld: no Steam query on the game port
- Satisfactory: no reliable Steam query
- ARK: no reliable Steam query
- The Isle (Evrima): listed through Epic Online Services, no query on any port
- Terraria: every probe is logged as a failed join
How this page was made
Every number comes from the developer's own documentation, the official wiki or the config file the game ships with, read on the date beside it. Pages that block automated readers were read through the Internet Archive. The public port lists we compared each contradicted another on at least one game, so none of them is used here, and a number no primary source gives is left blank.
