How to see who is online on your The Isle server

The IsleUpdated Oct 19, 20263 min read

The Active players card on your server's Overview page lists everyone on the server, with how long they have been connected. The panel asks the game itself through its own tool, so the list is correct even when players have the same name.

Read the list

  1. Open your server in the panel. You land on Overview.
  2. Look at the Active players card. The number at the top is players online out of your slots.

Each row shows the player's name and how long they have been on. Where the game reports it, a row also shows the dinosaur they play and how grown it is, for example Triceratops 45%.

Click the ... menu on a row (Actions for the player) to copy the name, send the player a message, kick or ban them. See How to kick or ban a player on your The Isle server.

When the card says No answer from the server

The panel reads the list through its own tool inside the server. The card says No answer from the server while the server is starting (the tool answers a few seconds after the server says it has started) and while it is stopped. That is normal. If the server is running and the card still says it after a minute, restart the server once.

A server installed before 18 October 2026 needs one restart to show players here.

Good to know

  • Nobody is online means the tool answered and the server is empty.
  • The SteamID64 of each player is what kick, ban, whitelist, admins and VIPs use. You see it in the kick and ban windows.
  • The Activity page of the server records who kicked or banned whom. See How to see what happened on your server.
