A Core Keeper server with nobody connected uses about 1.3 GB of memory. That is an idle figure, so check memory on the Overview page with players online.
Our free Game Server RAM Guide shows the memory a Core Keeper server used in our own measurement.
Check your own usage
Open your server's Overview page and look at Usage, then the RAM tab, while players are online. An empty server tells you little, so read it with players on. See How to read your server's usage graphs.
Tips for a healthier server
- A brand new world takes about five minutes to generate on first start. Expect a long first start and do not restart it during that time.
- Mods are the most likely thing to add load or break a start. Add them one at a time and restart after each.
- Keep Auto Update on unless a mod forces you to stay on one build.
Change plan
If memory keeps reaching your plan's limit while players are on, move to a bigger plan. See How to change your plan or billing cycle.
