If a plugin row on the Installed list says another plugin also changes the same rates, both apply and the multipliers add up: 2x and 2x give 4x. Keep one of the two plugins for that job.
See the warning
- Open your server in the panel and click the Modding tab.
- On the Plugins tab, click Installed.
- Under a plugin's name you may see a warning line such as
ServerRates also changes gather rates. Both apply, so the multipliers add up (2x and 2x give 4x). Keep one of them for this.
The warning on each row names the other plugins and what they change: gather rates, pickup amounts, quarry and excavator output or smelting speed.
Fix it
- Decide which plugin you want to keep for that job.
For the other one, either uninstall it, or set its multipliers back to 1 in its settings file.
- To uninstall: open the menu Options for the plugin, choose Uninstall and confirm. See How to install and update plugins on your Rust server.
- To change its settings: open its file in
oxide/config(Carbon:carbon/configs) in Files, set the rates to 1, save and reload it. See How to change plugin settings and permissions on your Rust server.
- Open Installed again. The warning is gone when only one plugin changes those rates.
- Check the real rates in the game.
Why it happens
A rates plugin multiplies the amount Rust hands it. When two plugins use the same part of the game, each one multiplies the result of the other. The panel reads which parts of the game each plugin uses and warns you when two plugins share one.
Good to know
- The warning only tells you that two plugins share a part of the game. If you set one of them to 1x on purpose, the combination is fine.
- It works on both Oxide and Carbon.
