Open the Modding tab, click Installed on the Plugins tab, open the plugin's menu and choose Uninstall. The panel deletes the plugin file. Its settings and data stay in Files, so a plugin you install again finds them.
Uninstall it
- Open your server in the panel and click the Modding tab.
- On the Plugins tab, click Installed.
- Open the menu Options for the plugin and choose Uninstall.
- In the window Uninstall with the plugin's name, click Uninstall.
The plugin file is removed from oxide/plugins (Carbon: carbon/plugins). The window says the server restarts, but on a Rust server the panel only deletes the file: Oxide and Carbon unload a removed plugin by themselves. If the plugin still seems active, restart the server.
The window has a box, Also delete its configuration and data. On a Rust server it does not reach the folders where Oxide and Carbon keep a plugin's settings and data, so delete those by hand, as below.
Delete its settings and data too
- Open the Files tab.
- On Oxide, delete the plugin's file in
oxide/config(its settings, for exampleKits.json) and inoxide/data(what it stored while it ran). - On Carbon, delete its files in
carbon/configs(settings) andcarbon/data(stored data).
Only do this if you will not use the plugin again. Take a backup first if you are not sure: How to back up and restore your Rust world.
Good to know
- Anything that depends on the plugin stops working, for example another plugin that needs it.
- Permissions you gave for the plugin stay in the framework's own data. They do nothing without the plugin.
- A plugin you uploaded by hand is removed the same way, or by deleting its .cs file in Files.
- You need the Delete file permission: How to let a friend help run your Rust server.
