These are the options on the Settings, Game Settings page of a PlayNHost Mordhau server, taken from the panel's own definitions. Rows marked read only are set by your plan or the server and cannot be changed.
All settings
| Setting | What it does | Allowed | Default |
|---|---|---|---|
| Admin Password | Open the in-game console and enter AdminLogin followed by this password to get admin powers on your own server, such as kicking, banning and muting players from inside the game. Leave it empty and nobody can log in as admin. | up to 20 characters, letters, numbers, dashes and underscores | empty |
| Server Name | The name players see for your server in the in-game server browser. Takes effect on the next restart. | up to 40 characters, no line breaks | PlaynHost Server |
| Server Password | Players are asked for this password before they can join. Leave it empty and anyone can join. | up to 20 characters, letters, numbers, dashes and underscores | empty |
| Starting Map | The mode and map your server starts on, and the one it falls back to. Grad/FL_Grad = Frontline - Grad, DuelCamp/FL_Camp = Frontline - Camp, TaigaMap/FL_Taiga = Frontline - Taiga, MaxMap/FL_MountainPeak = Frontline - Mountain Peak, Crossroads/FL_Crossroads = Frontline - Crossroads, FeitoriaMap/FL_Feitoria = Frontline - Feitoria, Castello/FL_Castello = Frontline - Castello, Grad/INV_Grad = Invasion - Grad, DuelCamp/INV_Camp = Invasion - Camp, FeitoriaMap/INV_Feitoria = Invasion - Feitoria, DuelCamp/HRD_Camp = Horde - Camp, Grad/HRD_Grad = Horde - Grad, DuelCamp/TDM_Camp = Team Deathmatch - Camp, Grad/SKM_Grad = Skirmish - Grad, Contraband/FFA_Contraband = Free-for-all - Contraband. | one of: Grad/FL_Grad, DuelCamp/FL_Camp, TaigaMap/FL_Taiga, MaxMap/FL_MountainPeak, Crossroads/FL_Crossroads, FeitoriaMap/FL_Feitoria, Castello/FL_Castello, Grad/INV_Grad, DuelCamp/INV_Camp, FeitoriaMap/INV_Feitoria, DuelCamp/HRD_Camp, Grad/HRD_Grad, DuelCamp/TDM_Camp, Grad/SKM_Grad and more (the panel lists them) | Grad/FL_Grad |
| Auto Update | Keep this on and your server installs the newest Mordhau patch every time it starts, so it stays joinable when the game updates. Turn it off to stay on the build you have until you restart with it back on. | on or off | on |
| Server Mods | Mod IDs from mordhau.mod.io, separated by commas - the ID is the number shown on each mod page. Your server downloads them the next time it starts and runs them; players who join are subscribed and given the mod automatically, so they see the new maps, weapons or rules without installing anything first. Leave it empty to run the game unmodded. | up to 512 characters, numbers separated by commas | empty |
| Player Slots (read only) | How many players can be on your server at the same time. The limit comes with your plan, so it is read only here - move to a bigger plan to raise it. The server browser shows this number next to your server. | set by your plan or the server | set by your plan |
Good to know
- Server Name, Server Password and Admin Password are written into the server's Game.ini file every time the server starts, so change them in Settings, then Game Settings, and restart. A value you type over them in Game.ini is replaced at the next start. Starting Map and Server Mods are also read when the server starts. Both passwords are empty until you set them, so set a Server Password and an Admin Password before you invite players.
- The panel saves a value when you leave its field. If the value is not allowed, the panel tells you and keeps the old one.
- Passwords and tokens are not listed with a value. Each server starts with one set for you, or with none, as the row says. Set a password before you invite players if you want a private server.
