A fresh server with nobody connected uses roughly 0.9 GB of memory. That is an idle figure: memory climbs with players, mods and map size, so check it on the Overview page with players online.
Check your own usage
Open your server's Overview page and look at Usage, then the RAM tab, while players are online. An empty server tells you little, so read it with players on. See How to read your server's usage graphs.
Tips for a healthier server
- Checkpoint (co-op) scenarios normally allow 8 human players, whatever your plan allows. Choose a Versus scenario to fill all your slots.
- Add mods a few at a time and restart, so a bad mod is easy to find.
- Keep Auto Update on so a restart keeps the server on the current game version.
Change plan
If memory keeps reaching your plan's limit while players are on, move to a bigger plan. See How to change your plan or billing cycle.
