Your Project Zomboid server does not show in the server list

Your Project Zomboid server shows in the game's own server list only if Show in the in-game server list is on. The panel says servers always appear in the Steam server browser either way. A new server can also take a few minutes to show up. Players can always join through Favorites with the IP and the port.

Check the setting

1. Stop the server. Open Settings, then Server Settings under Config files.
2. In Listing and joining, turn on Show in the in-game server list.
3. Optionally set Server name in the list and Server description.
4. Click Save only or Save & start.

Wait a few minutes

Join without the list

The list is not needed. Use Main menu, Join, Favorites, and the IP and port from the Play with friends card: How to join your Project Zomboid server from Steam.

If you want it hidden

Turn the setting off and keep a join password: How to make your Project Zomboid server public or private.

Still not there

The player's own build must match the server's: a player on a different build cannot join. See Players cannot join your Project Zomboid server.
