To make every new character start in the same place, set Forced spawn point in the Players group of the Server Settings editor to three numbers, x,y,z, for example 10745,9412,0. Setting 0,0,0 turns it off, and players pick their spawn as normal. Stop the server to save.
Set a forced spawn point
- Find the coordinates. The editor's text points to map.projectzomboid.com, which shows the coordinates of a spot on the map.
- Stop the server. Open Settings, then Server Settings under Config files.
- In the group Players, find Forced spawn point. Type three whole numbers separated by commas, with no spaces:
x,y,z. - Click Save only or Save & start. If the value is not in that form, the editor says: "Spawn point must be three whole numbers separated by commas, x,y,z (for example 10745,9412,0), or 0,0,0 to turn it off."

Every new player then spawns at those coordinates: "Every new player spawns at these x,y,z map coordinates." Characters that already exist are not moved.
Spawn points for a map mod
Many map mods ask for a spawn point of their own, so players can start inside the new map. That is not set on the Workshop tab. The game keeps spawn choices in a file named <Server Name>_spawnregions.lua in .cache/Server under Files. Open it, and add the entry the map mod's Workshop page describes. If you are not sure, leave the file alone until you have read the mod's own instructions, and keep a backup.

Good to know
- A forced spawn point sends everyone to one spot. On a new world, check that the spot exists on your map, including any map mod.
