To put a join password on your Palworld server, open Settings, Game Settings and type it in Server Password: 1 to 30 letters, numbers, - or _. Restart the server. Players then type the password when they join. Leave the field empty for an open server.
Set the password
- Open your server in the panel and click the Settings tab.
- Click Game Settings.
- Type the password in Server Password. It saves by itself half a second after you stop typing.
- Restart the server, for example with Restart now in the message that appears.
A password with a space, a dot or another symbol is refused and the old value stays. Use letters, digits, - and _ only.
Tell your friends
- The Play with friends card on the Overview page shows the password in its Password row, and Copy invite message puts it in the message as
Password:and the password: How to invite friends to your Palworld server. - Team members whose role may not see it get
It has a password: ask me for it.in the message instead. - The password must match exactly, capitals included.
Remove the password
Empty the Server Password field and restart. Anyone who has the address or finds the server in the list can join again.
Password or whitelist?
A password can be passed on to anyone. The panel's whitelist goes by each player's Palworld user ID, so only the people you add can stay: How to make your Palworld server private with a whitelist. You can use both.
