How to let a friend help run your Enshrouded server

Invite your friend from Team & Roles, and give them a role with the permissions for what they should do. Playing on the server needs only the server name and the Server Password. Running it in the panel needs a role.

Invite someone

Open your server in the panel and click Team & Roles in the left menu. On a desktop you can also use Invite people at the end of the tab row.
Click Invite someone, enter their email address, choose a role and send the invitation.

Which permission an Enshrouded task needs

On the Roles tab you tick permissions in areas such as Control, Files, Backups, Settings and Schedules. For your Enshrouded server:

Start, stop, restart the server	Control: Start, Stop, Restart
See the Worlds page	Files: Browse files
Rewind to this and Undo the last change on Worlds	Control: Restart
Upload a world	Control: Restart, plus Files: Create and upload
Download the world	Files: Read contents
See Gameplay Settings	Settings: View startup, plus Files: Read contents
Save Gameplay Settings, including Remove ban, tags and the Admin password	Settings: View startup, plus Files: Read contents and Edit and rename
Change Game Settings: name, Server Password, Mod loader (EML), Auto Update	Settings: View startup and Change startup
Add or remove mods in `mods`	Files: Browse files, Create and upload, Delete
Make and restore backups	Backups: View backups, Create, Restore
Add or change schedules on Quick Tasks	Schedules: View schedules, Create, Edit

Every task on Worlds also needs Browse files, because without it the page is not shown. If a button is missing for your friend, their role does not have the permission for it. Deleting files and restoring backups can lose a world: give those only to people you trust.

Make someone admin in the game

A panel role is not the same as being admin in the game. To let a friend kick and ban in the game, give them the Admin password: see How to become admin on your Enshrouded server. That password lets them join as an admin, and does not give them anything in the panel.

Good to know

Your friend gets their own sign-in. Never share your panel password.
The Get your server ready card and Webhooks are for the server's owner only.
To remove access, open Team & Roles and remove the person.
