Most of what you want to change on a Conan Exiles server is on one page of the panel.
Open Game Settings
- Open your server in the panel and click the Settings tab.
- Click Game Settings.
- Change a value and click outside the field, or press Enter. The panel saves it. Switches save as soon as you flip them.
- Restart the server so the change takes effect. See How to start, stop, restart and force-stop your server.
Options most owners change first
- Server Name. The name shown in the Conan Exiles server browser, up to 40 characters; avoid quotation marks because they can stop the server from starting.
- Server Password. Leave it empty for an open server or set one so only people you give it to can join; avoid quotation marks in it.
- Player Limit. Set by your plan and shown read-only; upgrading to a larger plan raises it.
- Steam Workshop Mods. Comma separated Steam Workshop item numbers, digits and commas only; empty means no mods.
- RCON Password. Lets a remote console tool run admin commands without joining the game; at least 8 characters using letters, digits, dots, underscores and hyphens, and leaving it empty switches the remote console off.
- Update On Start. On (the default) installs any newer Conan Exiles build at every start; off keeps the build already installed and makes restarts quicker.
Server Name, Server Password and RCON Password apply the next time the server starts, and the mod list is rebuilt at every start, so after changing any of them restart the server. Gameplay options such as harvest rates and PvP are not panel settings: change them from the in-game admin panel, or edit ServerSettings.ini while the server is stopped, because Conan writes its in-memory settings back to the file when it shuts down and can overwrite edits made while it was running.
