- A dedicated server has no owner account, so admin rights have to be granted to you. Join the server with your own game first.
- For your first admin, ask support to grant it: open a ticket with your Steam ID and your exact player name, and say that you want all permissions.
- Once you have all permissions, open the in-game console by pressing F3 (the default key; it can be changed in the game's settings) and run the commands below yourself. Your player needs the ConsoleCommands permission to use the console, and giving All includes it. Use clientlist to see the ID, name and Steam ID of everyone connected.
- Use giveperm followed by a player name (in quotation marks if it has spaces) and All to give that player every permission. You can use the ID from the list instead of the name.
- You can also give a ready-made rank with giverank, for example the Admin or Moderator rank.
- To hand out only some rights, name the permission instead of All, for example Kick, Ban or ManageRound. Use showperm followed by the player to check what they have.
Useful admin commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
clientlist | Lists everyone connected with their client ID, so you can refer to them in the other commands. |
giveperm [client id/steam id/ip address/player name] [all/permission] | Grants administrative permissions to a connected player. |
revokeperm [client id/steam id/ip address/player name] [all/permission] | Takes administrative permissions away from a player. |
giverank [client id/steam id/ip address/player name] [rank] | Gives a player a rank, which is a preset bundle of permissions. |
givecommandperm [client id/steam id/ip address/player name] [all/command] | Lets a player use the named console commands in-game (the player also needs the ConsoleCommands permission). |
showperm [client id/steam id/ip address/name] | Shows the permissions a player currently has. |
kick [player name] | Removes a player from the server. |
ban [player name] | Kicks and bans a player. |
unban [player name] | Lifts a ban on a player. |
setpassword [password] | Changes the join password until the next restart. Leaving the password out removes it. |
startround | Starts a new round (only works in a multiplayer campaign). |
These commands are typed in the game's console (press F3) by a player who has the ConsoleCommands permission. The first admin is granted by support. See How to use the console and run commands.
