Most join failures on Icarus come down to five things: the server is not running, the password is wrong, the server is full, the game builds differ, or a player is missing a mod. Check them in this order.
1. The server is running
Open your server in the panel. The badge must say Online. If it never gets there: Your Icarus server is stuck on starting.
2. The password is right
The player types the Join Password from Settings, Game Settings. A new password applies only after a restart. Rules and how to change it: How to change your Icarus server name and password.
3. There is a free slot
Compare the Active players card with the Slots row on Overview. To add slots: How to change player slots on your Icarus server.
4. Everyone is on the same build
Right after an Icarus patch, players on the new build cannot join a server on the old one. Restart the server: Players cannot join your Icarus server after a game update.
5. Everyone has the server's mods
Most Icarus mods must be installed in each player's game too: Players are disconnected after you add a mod to your Icarus server.
