How to kick and ban players on your Icarus server

Log in as admin in the game chat, then type /KickPlayer or /BanPlayer followed by the player's name or Steam ID. /UnbanPlayer lifts a ban. Icarus does this in the game: the panel has no kick or ban buttons for it.

Log in as admin

Type /AdminLogin and your Admin Password in the game chat. Where to find the Admin Password: see How to become admin on your Icarus server.

Kick a player

/KickPlayer PlayerName Reason

The player is removed and can rejoin straight away. The reason is optional. You can use their Steam ID instead of the name.

Ban a player

/BanPlayer PlayerName Reason

The player is kicked and added to the server's saved ban list, so they cannot rejoin. The reason is optional.

Lift a ban

/UnbanPlayer PlayerName

Use the player's name or Steam ID. They can join again.

Keep strangers out

  • Set a Join Password, so only people you give it to can join: How to change your Icarus server name and password.
  • Change it after you remove someone who knew it.
  • There is no whitelist for Icarus, in the panel or in RocketWerkz's server settings. The Join Password is the way to keep a server private.
