How to update or remove mods on your Icarus server

To update a mod, upload the new .pak over the old one. To remove it, delete the .pak and restart. The Modding tab puts it this way: delete the .pak and restart, nothing else has to be undone.

Update a mod

1. Download the new version to your computer.
2. Click the Files tab and open Icarus/Content/Paks/mods.
3. If the new file has the same name, click Upload and choose it: it replaces the old one. If the name changed, delete the old file first (step 2 below), then upload the new one. A folder mod in Icarus/Mods is replaced over SFTP, because Files cannot upload a folder: How to connect to your server files with SFTP.
4. Restart the server.
5. Tell your players to update the mod in their game too.

Remove a .pak mod

1. In Files, open Icarus/Content/Paks/mods.
2. Open the menu of the .pak file and choose Delete file, then confirm.
3. Restart the server.

Remove a folder mod

1. In Files, open Icarus/Mods.
2. Open the menu of the mod's folder and choose Delete folder, then confirm.
3. Restart the server.

Good to know
