How to invite friends to your Icarus server

Send your friends three things: your server's Server Name, the Join Password if you set one, and the join steps below. Icarus players find dedicated servers by name in the game's browser, so there is no address to share.

What to send

1. Open your server in the panel, click the Settings tab and then Game Settings.
2. Copy the Server Name and the Join Password.
3. Send them to your friends with these steps:

Join my Icarus server:
1. Start Icarus and choose your character.
2. In the HAB menu, click Join Session.
3. Switch the browser to dedicated servers with the toggle at the top right.
4. Join the server named: <your Server Name>
Password: <your Join Password>

Before you invite

• Give the server a name your friends can find: How to change your Icarus server name and password.
• Set a Join Password if only your friends should play. Without one, anyone who finds the server can join.

Let a friend help run the server

The Join Password lets a friend play. To let a friend start or restart the server, change settings or manage backups, invite them to the panel from Team & Roles in the left menu and give them a role. See How to let a friend help run your Icarus server.
