How to connect to your BeamMP server

Players join a BeamMP server from the BeamMP launcher. Search your server's name in the launcher's Servers list, or use Direct connect with the address. Both are on the Play with friends card on your server's Overview page.

Before you join

• The server must be Online. A new server also needs its BeamMP key: How to start your BeamMP server for the first time.
• Each player needs BeamNG.drive and the BeamMP launcher on their PC. The launcher starts the game for them.

Find the name and the address

1. Open your server in the panel. You land on Overview.
2. On the Play with friends card, the Server name row shows the name players search for, and the Address row shows the address for Direct connect. Each row has a copy button.

The address is also on the Server Address row of the server card at the top of Overview, and as Direct connect address on the BeamMP server list card. Every BeamMP server on PlayNHost has its own port, so always copy the whole address with the port.

Join from the server list

These are the card's own steps:

1. Open the BeamMP launcher and sign in.
2. Open Servers and search for your server's name. A new server can take a few minutes to show up.

The BeamMP server list card on Overview says Listed once your server is in the list. Until then, use Direct connect.

Join with Direct connect

It does not show? Use Direct connect and enter the address. Direct connect does not go through BeamMP's list. It is how friends join a private server, which is never in the list, and the panel says it still works while BeamMP's list is not answering.

The first join takes longer

Players download every mod on your server the first time they join. The Players page shows them as Downloading mods until they are in. A large mod pack can take minutes: How to make players join faster on your BeamMP server.

Guests and signed-in players

A player who is signed in to BeamMP joins with their BeamMP account. A guest plays without one. Guests can join unless you turn them off: How to stop guests joining your BeamMP server.

If you cannot join

Open Can't connect? on the Play with friends card for the short list:

• The server is still starting. Wait for the ready line in the Console, then try again.
• A new server can take a few minutes to show up in the public list. Wait a little, then search again.
• Everyone needs the same game version or branch as the server. Update the game, or change the server's version. For BeamMP this means an up-to-date launcher and game.
