How to turn on the whitelist on your BeamMP server

Open Players in the left menu, click the Access tab, add the BeamMP IDs of the people you want, then turn on Only whitelisted players can join. From then on, everyone else is refused. Add yourself first.

BeamMP has no whitelist of its own. This one is kept by the PlayNHost plugin on your server.

Add players to the whitelist

1. Open your server in the panel and click Players in the left menu.
2. Click the Access tab and find the Whitelist card.
3. Type a BeamMP ID in BeamMP ID to add and click Add. Or click From recent players and pick someone who joined lately.
4. Repeat for everyone, yourself included.

A player's BeamMP ID shows next to their name on the Players tab, with a copy button. Ask friends who have not joined yet to join once, then pick them from From recent players.

Turn it on

1. On the Whitelist card, turn on Only whitelisted players can join.
2. The card says On: everyone else is refused. and the panel says The whitelist is on.

If the list is empty, the card warns The whitelist is on and empty, so nobody can join. Add yourself first.

On a running server the change applies at once to everyone who joins from then on. Players already on stay until they leave, so kick anyone who should not be there. On a stopped server it applies from the next start.

Guests and the whitelist

Guests never match, because they have no account. With the whitelist on, only signed-in BeamMP players on the list get in.

Remove someone

With more than eight entries, a search box finds one by name or ID. Click the remove button on the row, Remove from the whitelist. To let everyone in again, turn the switch off: Off: anyone who is not banned can join.

Change what a refused player reads

The card What a refused player reads on the same tab has four boxes: Banned player (the ban reason is added), Not on the whitelist, Guest while guests are off and Blocked vehicle (sent in chat).

1. Type your own text in a box, for example a link to your Discord where people can ask to join.
2. Click Save messages.

Leave a box empty for the standard English sentence. For the whitelist it is This server only lets in players on its whitelist. The game shows the text to the player who is turned away.
