The Players page gets its live list, kick and chat from the PlayNHost plugin on your server. Tools not answering means the server runs but the plugin did not reply. Restart the server to bring it back. If it keeps happening, look in the Console for an error.
Fix Tools not answering
- Restart the server.
- Wait until the Console shows
[PNH] PlayNHost tools ... ready. - Open Players again. The status should say Live.
If it comes back, scroll the Console for a line starting [LUA ERROR] that names Resources/Server/PlayNHost, and send it to support.
Every status
| Status | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Live | Players, chat and rules change here as they happen. | Nothing. |
| Starting | The page fills in when the tools answer, usually within a minute. | Wait. |
| Server stopped | Nobody can be on. Bans and rules you save now apply from the next start. | Start server |
| Tools are off | PlayNHost Tools is off in Settings. Bans and rules you save are stored, but nothing enforces them. | Turn it on in Game Settings (Open Settings) and restart. |
| Tools need an update from us | Your server was set up before these tools existed. | Contact support in the chat and we will switch them on. Rules you save now are kept. |
| Tools not answering | The server runs but the plugin does not reply. | Restart (above). Open the console shows the server's lines. |
| Cannot reach the server | The panel could not read the server's state just now. | Try again in a moment. |
| Rules file is broken | The rules file could not be read, so bans and rules are locked to protect it. | Below. |
The rules file is broken
Bans, the whitelist, guests and vehicle rules are kept in .pnh/beammp/policy.json. If that file was edited by hand and no longer reads, the page shows What the panel found and locks the Bans, Access and Vehicles tabs so nothing in it is overwritten.
- Open Files and go to
.pnh/beammp. - Fix
policy.json, or delete it to start with empty rules. A backup may hold a good copy: How to back up and restore your BeamMP server. - Reload the Players page.
If the page says The server could not load the latest rules, the server keeps enforcing the last rules it could read until it can load the new ones.
Good to know
- The plugin is put back at every start, so a restart always brings a clean copy.
A newer version of the PlayNHost tools starts with the next restart.is a note, not a problem.- More about the page: How to see who is online on your BeamMP server.
