Use Backups in the left menu. A BeamMP server keeps no world, so a backup is about your mods, plugins and rules: take one before you add or remove a lot of mods, install a plugin or move your server.
What a backup holds
A BeamMP backup holds the whole server folder:
Resources/Client: your mods, including switched-off ones.Resources/Server: your server plugins and the data they keep, for example Nickel's own bans..pnh/beammp: the rules from the Players page (bans, whitelist, guests, vehicle rules, refusal messages) and the chat and activity feed.ServerConfig.toml, the BeamMP program and its log.
Your settings in Game Settings and your BeamMP key are kept by the panel, not in the backup, so a restore never changes them.
Make a backup
- Open your server in the panel and click Backups in the left menu.
- Click Start backup. Keep Files as the type and Now as the time.
- Wait for the backup to finish.

You do not need to stop the server first: BeamMP has no world that is being written.
If your plan includes backups, your server also has a schedule called Automatic backup that runs once a day. Its time can be changed on Backups, under Scheduled backups, with Edit. The Get your server ready card on Overview has Back up now until your first backup exists.
Download a copy
Open the menu Actions for your backup and choose Download to keep a copy on your computer.
Restore a backup
A restore puts the server's files back as they were in the backup. Mods, plugins and bans added since are lost. Take a fresh backup first if you may want the current state back.
- Open the menu Actions for the backup and choose Restore to server.
- Read the window that asks Restore with the backup's name, and click Restore backup. The server stops while the files are replaced.
- Start the server when it is done.
To bring back only some files, for example one plugin folder or .pnh/beammp/policy.json with your bans, see How to restore only some files or one area of your map from a backup.
Good to know
- Use Lock on a backup you want to keep out of the daily rotation.
- The PlayNHost plugin in
Resources/Server/PlayNHostis put back at every start, so a restore cannot leave an old copy of it. - A big mod pack makes a big backup. Mods you can download again from their author do not need a backup of their own.
- For scheduling, locking and limits, see How to create, download and restore backups.
