To list a Space Station 14 server on the public hub, open server_config.toml under Files on PlayNHost, change advertise = false to advertise = true under [hub], save and restart. The server then appears in the launcher's Servers tab. A new server is not listed, because the official config file ships with advertising off.
Before you list it
Read the Space Wizards hub rules. The official config file says: "By advertising your server, you agree to follow the rules of the hub." Three points that catch new servers:
- Contact information. The rules expect a way to contact you, "something as simple as a Discord or website link". Fill in a line under
[infolinks], for examplewebsite. - Clean name and description. No advertising in the server name, and nothing unsafe for work in the name or description.
- 18+ content must have
[18+]in the server name.
How do I turn on advertising?
- In the panel, click the Files tab, then click
server_config.toml. - Find the
[hub]section and changeadvertise = falsetoadvertise = true. - In the same section, fill in
tags, for exampletags = "lang:en,region:eu_w,rp:low". - Under
[infolinks], add a contact link, for examplewebsite = "https://example.com". - Click Save content.
- Click the arrow next to Stop, choose Restart and watch the Console. The engine prints
Successfully advertised tofollowed by the hub's address once the hub has accepted your server. - Open the launcher's Servers tab and click Refresh to find it.

Leave hub_urls and server_url as they are. With server_url empty, the engine looks up its own public IP address and adds its port; the Console shows the result in a line that starts with Guessed server address to be. That address should match the Server Address on your Overview page.
Which tags should I use?
The launcher filters on standard tags from the official tag list, separated by commas:

The hub rules forbid false information, "for example ... about what region your server is in", so match the region tag to where your server really runs: the Location row on your server's Overview page shows it.
What if the Console shows a hub error?
Error status while advertising server: [UnprocessableEntity] "Unable to contact status address" means the hub could not reach your server from the internet, according to the official hosting guide. Check that the badge says Online, that you left server_url and the [status] lines empty, and that the address in the Guessed server address to be line matches your Server Address, then restart. If the message stays, open a support ticket.
How do I take the server off the list again?
