The Console tab shows your Icarus server's log as the game writes it. Use it to see when the server is ready, whether mods loaded and what went wrong. Commands are not typed here: Icarus takes admin commands in the game chat.
Lines to look for
| Line contains | What it means |
|---|---|
(Engine Initialization) Total time: or Game Engine Initialized | The server has started. The badge turns Online. |
Found Pak file | A .pak mod in Icarus/Content/Paks/mods is being loaded. |
Mounting plugin | A folder mod in Icarus/Mods is being loaded. |
Why typed commands do nothing
The Icarus server does not read the console. A line typed in the command box, or sent with Send Command on Quick Tasks, does not reach the game. Admin commands such as /KickPlayer or /AdminSay are typed in the game chat after /AdminLogin: How to become admin on your Icarus server.
Useful Console tools
- Filters such as Errors and Warnings narrow the output.
- Search output... finds a line.
- Download log and Share log in the console's menu save the log or make a link to send to support.
General help: How to use the console and run commands.
Old logs
The game keeps a copy of the log from each earlier run in Icarus/Saved/Logs. Clear Old Logs on Quick Tasks deletes those copies: How to use Quick Tasks on your Icarus server.
When something is wrong
- Copy the last 50 to 100 lines into a ticket: How to open a support ticket.
- The server never gets to the ready line: Your Icarus server is stuck on starting.
